Cats/slipped liners/bcem/water leaks-the shit list is endless I'd still go for a 3.5 efi classic, if they had carried on building them.
I feel the fact they built in so much electronic shit=unreliability and no longer a vehicle you would go anywhere in.
As I said before a series or Defender would be safe to go to 3rd world countries-range rover you want a faultmate or similar close.

Well ive just bought me anotha Classic Range.....93, Vouge SE, 4.0 V8.....god ive missed the rumble of a V8.... shes high mileage....but well worth the cost of a recon engine at sum point. Got her for a absolute bargain....all electrics work...n solid tailgate....WELL CHUFFED

yeah i need a couple of cushions so i can c ova the steerin wheel....but on the plus side no clutch....so only need a block on 1 foot to reach the pedals....lol

me mates got about 6, another mates got a RRC with a paint job what changes colour, another mates got a silver rrc with air suspension and a hard dash, believed to be testbed, also its got very early TC which we think is a viscounit. and some woman has a rr sport theres a few others around us aswell. and me mate has a 200tdi rrc offroader

went and picked up a 300tdi softdash last night for my mate hes shit with computers so ill take pics as the build goes hes looking at a 5" lift along with all the normal stuff should be a good build

and i might have a v8 on the way aswell using most of it for bits for the one above as its got everything on so were just taking the bits off the one and putting them on the other

and i might build a bobtail out of whats left but well see got to build the 110 first
