Default Straight through

having fitted my new straight through exhaust yesterday, i have run into the first problem...

It now pulls that much air in that it is collapsing the intake hose! Anyone got any ideas? The intake pipe is only about a foot long!

im gnna clean the K&N on it first i think.

i went to the hydraulicsplace. for a 1 meter length of wire wound flexible silicoon pipe, in 70mm ID...

£68!!!!!!!

So, i fucked off outta there, went across the road to the builders uPVC merchant an got me 2 90degree bends and a length of downpipe for £7.30! Even if it only does 6 months while i think of a better plan im happy! Gna fit it in the next few days.

Wanna get an oil cooler in before i turn up boost or pump.

I would not bother with a Oil Cooler mate, You will overcool the engine..... TDI's don't run hot

id rather have it very slightly overcooled than melt my turbo, under heavy load a diesel turbo will get to 900degrees... Thats a lotta heat for the oil to be shifting!

It had one as standard, so it figures i should probably put one back on.
